Donald Trump prophecy: Bible preacher claims Trump ‘will remain President’

has spectacularly lost the US election last month, with a record number of 81 million votes cast for his rival . But the US President is yet to conceded defeat and Republicans up and down the country cling on to hopes an ace up Mr Trump’s sleeve could turn the election results in his favour. After a month of failed lawsuits and unsubstantiated cries of electoral fraud, Democrat Mr Biden looks to have his victory certified on December 14 by the Electoral College.

On December 2, President Trump issued a video statement reiterating his baseless claims of electoral fraud.

President Trump called the circumstances around the November 3 election “very strange” and vowed to defend the “honesty of the vote”.

He said: “This is not just about honoring the votes of 74 million Americans who voted for me.

“It’s about ensuring that Americans can have faith in this election. And in all future elections.”

A popular US evangelist and founder of the Philadelphia Trumpet magazine has now announced President Trump will retain his seat in the Oval Office by the grace of God.

According to pastor Gerald Flurry of the Philadelphia Church of God, Mr Biden’s presidency “is contrary to prophecy”.

Many Christians within America’s so-called evangelical community believe President Trump has set in motion events that will lead to the end of the world.

Chief among them, it has been claimed, were .

Pastor Flurry said: “The Bible has a lot to say about Donald Trump and his presidency.

“The main prophecies are in the book of Kings and in Amos 7, and several other passages speak more generally about America under his leadership.

“God cannot lie! These end-time prophecies must and will be fulfilled!

“The prophecy in Amos 7 is crucial to understanding the 2020 election.

“It is about Mr Trump, and much of it is yet unfulfilled!”

According to the evangelist’s interpretation of scripture, the prophecy warns the world to wake up but the world has ignored these warning – a warning he believes parallels the US election.

The passage reads: “And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more.”

Prophecies in Kings, meanwhile, speak of God granting Israel a “saviour” that would prevent the nation’s enemies from bringing the nation down.

Pastor Flurry has bizarrely suggested President Trump is this saviour as he has blocked an attempt to wipe out Israel and America “from under the heaven”.

He said: “Is his job finished? No, it isn’t. So I don’t believe at all that he will depart from the scene!

“I still believe these prophecies are 100 percent accurate.”

Consequently, the evangelist claimed widespread fraud will come to light in the coming days.

Pastor Flurry even accused America’s left of “fighting against God and God’s prophecy”, adding: “Who do you suppose will win that battle?”

And if these Biblical prophecies do come to pass, the preacher said “many earthshaking events” will unfold in the next few years.

He said: “By most appearances, Joe Biden will be America’s next president.

“But I absolutely do not believe that at all. Mr Trump will weather this storm too.

“Regardless of what the media says or how things look right now, I am confident Donald Trump will remain president.”

However, there is nothing the US President can do now that will stop him from having to hand over the keys to the White House in January.

Gerry McDonough, a Democratic elections lawyer who worked for vice president Al Gore in 2000, said: “He has no chance of overturning the result — it’s just impossible.

“I’m a recount lawyer here in Massachusetts and I get requests from people all the time and they say, ‘I’m just 50 votes behind and we’re sure there were these bad actors.’ I won’t take a case like that.”

From a theological perspective, there is also very little evidence to back claims Biblical prophecy was unfolding during the Trump presidency.

According to Stephen Witmer of the Pepperell Christian Fellowship in Pepperell, Massachusetts, all attempts to foretell the return of Jesus Christ are futile and possibly unChristian.

He said: “God wants us to wait for Jesus not because we’re confident of a date, but because we trust God’s promise.”
