Peace and Prophecy: Israel’s Mainstream Media Considers UAE Deal

The announced normalization between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was a major breakthrough in the Middle East conflict, and as such sparked wide debate regarding the prophetic ramifications of this diplomatic development.

Right there one might well assume that I’m speaking of debate among Bible-believing Christians, especially those of the Evangelical persuasion. But make no mistake, Bible-believing Jews are every bit as much attuned to the potential prophetic significance of what happens in this land.

In fact, some might be surprised to learn that the names “Gog and Magog” are bandied about in Israel nearly as much as they are in the Bible Belt of America.

A Hebrew-language Israeli blog called “Bible Prophecy – Signs of the Times” responded to news of the UAE deal with a post reading:
