Psalm 83 Prophecy

Recent events point to peace in the Middle East, but one Bible prophecy guarantees the opposite. You can know the specific alliances of the coming war in the Middle East.

There has been much celebration at the White House lately because of President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring peace to the Middle East. He facilitated peace deals between the United Arab Emirates and Israel, and Bahrain and Israel. Israel lit up a wall in Jerusalem with images of these nations’ flags, plus America’s and Israel’s. The U.A.E. and Bahrain played Israel’s national anthem. Everyone is rejoicing over peace in the Middle East!

Mr. Trump said he’s working to change the course of history and bring about the dawn of a new Middle East. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called these deals a “pivot of history” and pledged to ensure enduring peace.

Sadly, Bible prophecy guarantees otherwise.

We all want peace and will do anything to acquire it. But there’s one big flaw in these recent peace pacts. The one with the U.A.E. is called the Abraham Accords, after the biblical figure. It will take much more than Abraham’s name to bring peace to the Middle East. We must live the Abraham way. He always sought peace.

Certainly, Israel’s progress toward peace with surrounding Arab nations is a hope-filled moment in a time when everyone is searching for hope. The Jews have prayed for peace for thousands of years but never experienced it! Mr. Netanyahu discussed hope for all the descendants of Abraham’s sons—the Israelite peoples from Isaac, and the Arab peoples from Ishmael. He knows the price of war—his own brother was killed in the legendary Operation Entebbe in 1976. Why shouldn’t he and everyone else search hard for the blessings of peace?

Mr. Netanyahu’s remarks also included a reference to Psalm 29:11: “… the Lord will bless his people with peace.” However, we must go to God for that peace. We need the faith of Abraham to obtain peace.

You can aspire to peace and hope a million times greater than what is being worked toward in the Middle East right now! All current events in the region are tied directly to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ! I can prove this to you from the Bible, no matter how strange it might sound to you.

Your Bible foretells moderate Arabs uniting, somewhat like we’re now seeing. But would you believe this prophesied unity doesn’t involve the United States or Israel?

Within a decade, we will finally experience world peace, prosperity and joy! But world peace won’t be caused by humans! After all, “the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly” (Isaiah 33:7). All ambassadors for peace. That’s a blanket statement. God says our leaders aren’t going about obtaining peace the right way!

“The way of peace they know not …” (Isaiah 59:8). Another blanket statement. For our entire history, we have proved we don’t know the way of peace! Only God does! When our leaders sign peace pacts and give us hope, are they really looking to God? Or are they just men trusting men, which only brings curses? (Jeremiah 17:5).

Mr. Trump and Mr. Netanyahu are talking about Abraham the man, but they’re not talking about how he sought peace. Abraham went to God and was so faithful, he was willing to sacrifice his and his wife’s only son, Isaac, because God said to. Abraham knew God would bless his descendants through Isaac, meaning God would have to resurrect Isaac even if Abraham followed through with sacrificing him. Abraham is the father of the faithful (Romans 4:19-22). Are we willing to bring his faith into Middle East peace negotiations?

The United States is descended from Abraham, though most people don’t know it. We have been teaching this for over 80 years. (Request our free book The United States and Britain in Prophecy for proof.)

A prophecy in Psalm 83 explains what’s really happening in the Middle East. We are just in the beginning stages of its fulfillment. Moderate Arab nations are uniting, as prophesied, but their main ally will soon be Germany.

It’s easy to see how this could transpire. The U.S. is divided and wants to pull out of the Middle East while Germany is becoming more and more involved in the region.

“Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones” (Psalm 83:1-3). Psalm 83 is specific. “Assur” in verse 8 is Germany. Enemies are conspiring against biblical Israel, which primarily includes America, Britain and the Jewish nation, as The United States and Britain in Prophecy proves. God’s “hidden ones,” His sheltered or treasured ones, are delivering a warning message to the nations of Israel about this coming crisis. This is referring to God’s very elect, His one true Church, which is always involved in the fulfillment of end-time prophecy.

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” (verse 4). The Psalm 83 alliance will try to blot out the name of Israel forever! Talk about hatred!

No alliance like the one in Psalm 83 has ever occurred in history. “History transmits no record of the national crisis when the nations enumerated in this Psalm formed a league to wipe out Israel …,” the Anchor Bible reads. Lange’s Commentary states: “The 10 nations who are here enumerated as being combined against Israel, are never mentioned elsewhere as enemies allied at the same time and for the purpose of annihilating Israel.”

Clearly, this is an end-time alliance. Germany moving in and aligning with the moderate Arab nations should be deeply alarming to students of history. For all its strengths, Germany has still started two world wars and also had the support of most Arab nations during the second one. Germany has an overwhelmingly negative view of America’s president, with its leading magazine, Der Spiegel, inaccurately labeling him a soon-to-be dictator. A superpower that dislikes America is now forming strong alliances in the Middle East, practically replacing America over there.

In the May-June 2011 Philadelphia Trumpet, I wrote about Germany’s strategic partnerships in the Middle East, particularly through trade and selling arms. The U.A.E. and Bahrain may have made peace agreements with Israel recently, but they have been close to Germany for years. Germany’s relationships with these two nations are primarily focused on military cooperation.

Really, the Arab nations in the Psalm 83 alliance will have one main motivation: fear of Iran. Daniel 11 describes a massive clash between the “king of the north” (Germany) and the “king of the south” (Iran). (Prove the identities of these end-time power blocs by studying my free booklet The King of the South.)

Iran’s allies in the war against a German-led united Europe will include Egypt, Libya and Ethiopia (Daniel 11:43). This means they won’t be in the Psalm 83 alliance.

Psalm 83 gives the specific identities of the Arab nations in the alliance. (Find more information in The King of the South, Chapter 2: “A Mystery Alliance.”) Daniel 11 shows the specific method Germany will use to destroy Iran: “And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over” (verse 40).

Notice the word whirlwind. My free booklet Germany’s Secret Strategy to Destroy Iran explains how Germany is already planning to confront Iran and win decisively by using a whirlwind strategy. Simply examining a map of Germany and its allies in the Middle East (included in the booklet) will show you that Germany has Iran and its allies surrounded, and surrounded again several times within the outer perimeter! This strategic positioning will enable a swift, sudden, whirlwind-like conquest of Iran by Germany.

After annihilating Iran, Germany will “enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon” (verse 41). Here, we start to witness the public emergence of the Psalm 83 alliance on the world scene. Germany and its allies will enter Jerusalem not by force, but under the guise of peace. “Edom, and Moab, and … Ammon” won’t be conquered during the ensuing betrayal of the Jews (Ezekiel 23) because they will be part of the Psalm 83 alliance. You need to prove the modern identities of these ancient nations in order to understand this prophecy!

The word chief in the phrase “chief of the children of Ammon” (Daniel 11:41) means “with regard to time, first fruits” (Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon). God’s treasured ones are right in the middle of all this! Christ’s Second Coming is “at the doors” (Matthew 24:33), and God’s Church today lets the whole world know it! This is the only true hope.

Remember the Abraham Accords, named after the father of the faithful. He fought and defeated Assyria, the forefathers of modern Germany (Genesis 14). God would give our nations the victory today if we would just follow Abraham’s example. The great King David wrote, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes” (Psalm 118:9). How true. Dig into your Bible. Find out more about what Abraham was all about, and God will bring you peace.
